BOIR Filing Requirement Back in Effect

We’ve got a full-fledged Ross and Rachel situation going on here.

LLC owners, take note: After a lot of back and forth, the Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR) filing requirement is back in effect with a reporting deadline of March 21, 2025, for most companies.

In other words, we are no longer “on a break.”

Here’s the official update from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).

And ICYMI, in January 2024, the US Treasury Department introduced a new reporting requirement that applies to registered businesses, like LLCs. Learn more about it (and how to file) in this (<10min) podcast Episode 139.
