Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: Although the headlines and media are distracting, it’s important that we keep looking to the future. As time permits, I’m going to be offering a free coaching on the topic of Vision & Values to encourage that forward-thinking.
If, in response to Coronavirus, you find yourself teaching online for the first time, you may be feeling a bit disoriented right now. The ways you would normally teach, might not translate and it may feel clunky for the first few weeks.
When I first started teaching piano online a couple of years ago, I felt limited and somewhat ineffective. It wasn’t until I clarified what I was trying to accomplish with my teaching that things really started to click.
Once I had identified my core values, I felt the freedom to let go of “the way I’d always done things” and reorient my teaching to better serve my students in the new format.
